Tanzania Child and Youth Rescue Organization (TCYRO) is a National Non- Governmental Organization which was registered in 2019 under Tanzania Non-Governmental Organization Act, 2002 as amended in 2005 with registration number 00NGO/00010209 mandated to operate in Tanzania Mainland.
TCYRO is committed into child protection and Youth empowerment programs in Tanzania. Its establishment was direct response to various cases relating to and indeed violating child’s rights and prosperity of youth. Such cases include denial to education, severe children and women beating, throwing of children, raping, early marriage, poverty, Female Genital mutilation (FGM), child labor, children trafficking and abandonment, killing of albinos under matters relating to witchcraft among others in Tanzania.

We envision being the leading center for advocating child rights and youth empowerment, ensuring a better livelihood and social well-being for all.

The core values of the organization are Transparency, Accountability, Humanity, Imperative, Impartiality, Neutrality, and Proselytism.
- Transparency: Willingness and ability to provide information regarding assets, income and expenditure openly.
- Accountability: That we are obliged to provide a professional and financial account and justification of the organizational activities and that we are willing to accept advice or criticism to modify the organizational operations.
- Humanity: That is all children and Youth should be treated humanely and equally in all circumstances by saving lives and alleviating suffering, while ensuring respect for them.
- Imperative: We are obliged to provide humanitarian assistance to our children and Youths wherever it is needed
- Impartially: Our humanitarian assistance to children and Youth must not base on nationality, race, religion, or political point of view. It must be based on need alone.
- Neutrality: Our service should not take sides in hostilities or engage at any time in controversies of a political, racial, religious or ideological nature.
- Proselytism : The provision of aid must not exploit the vulnerability of victims and be used to further political or religious creeds.

Rev. Dr Oscar Daniel Kasuka, PhD is the Co founder and Country Director for Tanzania Child and Youth Rescue Organization (TCYRO) who believes that for Tanzania to reach middle economy upper in 2028 need to have well educated community on Sexual reproductive Health and Rights ( SRHR), HIV/AIDS, Gender Based violence (GBV), Children Protection, Leadership, Nutrition, Income Generation Activities (IGA), Industrial relations, Environmental Protection, Climate Change, Women involvement and Youth Participation. And thus, TCYRO supports national efforts by all possible means in provision of adequate education on the above areas

Our Objectives
The objectives which the organization intends to implement are:
- To promote child and women rights awareness to the community and support governmental efforts to reduce child and youth poverty, early marriage, FGM, and gender based violence through improved policy environments and systems for the child and youth.
- To lobby and advocate for fair policies that affect the daily life of child and youth through research, networking and strategic alliance building.
- Improve children’s access to the food and health care as they need to thrive.
- To promote a safe and conducive environment for the children in an approved residential home.
- Secure a good quality education for the children who need it most.
- To encourage and counsel the children to become better in all aspects of their lives.
- Offering legal services on children convicted under the law in juvenile courts and other law chambers on matters relating to children violation of law.
- To fight against new HIV/AIDS infections and promote treatment during both times of a child and youth life through improved and equitable use of proven HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment interventions by pregnant women, children and adolescents.
